Attendance Matters
AT&T has cleared the phone outage.
The phones are working again at the affected sites: Mount Charleston, Johnson, Manse, PVHS, Floyd, and both Beatty Schools.
AT&T Outage:
Parents & Guardians, AT&T is suffering an outage affecting a few of our schools. They are working to solve the issue.
Until then, phones are down at the following locations: Mount Charleston, J.G. Johnson, Manse, PVHS, Floyd, and all Beatty schools.
Come support Beatty High School on Friday September 2nd as volleyball and football host Green Valley Christian in the Hornets first home games of the season.

New state regulation changes the age requirement for kindergarten beginning for the 22/23 school year.

NCSD is considering three new publishers for Reading and Language Arts curriculum (K-12). The materials for all three are on display for public input at the Pahrump district office and each school site through January 7, 2022.
The Nye County School District Board of Trustees' Regular Board Meeting that is scheduled for this Wednesday, December 8th, will no longer be held at Amargosa Valley Schools, due to a COVID-19 quarantine. The meeting will now take place at the Southern District Office Boardroom, 484 S. West Street, Pahrump. Thank you.

4-Day Week Feedback Survey--2021
Please provide feedback regarding our current 4-day school week. The NCSD Board of Trustees has asked that we reach out to the community regarding the current 4-day school week. The information from this survey will be shared with the board of trustees in the near future for review, along with other student-level data to create a picture of the effectiveness of this schedule. Beatty High School currently has a high teacher/staff absence rate due to a variety of reasons. However, Beatty High School does not have any substitutes, and we do not have the staffing to supervise all classrooms.
Therefore, ALL Beatty High School students will be attending school virtually on Tuesday, November 24 and Wednesday, November 25, 2020. Students, please access Canvas on your chromebooks to complete assignments. Teachers will be available during normal school hours. Please remember there is early release on Wednesday at 12:00 noon.
Normal school attendance will resume on Monday, November 30, 2020.
