To the Parents and Students of Beatty Schools:
I hope this letter finds you all safe and well. I am sending this informational because we have had some exposure to the COVID virus within our community in recent days. I want to assure you that we have taken the necessary steps to create a safe and secure environment within the schools. My concern is preventing future outbreaks within the Beatty and Amargosa Schools. I am working closely with District and school administration to do just that.
Beatty High School is made up of students from both communities and as such, things that happen in one community affect both communities. With the recent closure of Amargosa Schools due to the possible COVID exposure of students and the fact that some Beatty Elementary, Middle and High School students were sent home because of possible exposure over the Thanksgiving holiday, I am asking that we all do our part to stop the spread of COVID in both our communities. Please act responsibly and if you believe you or your children have been exposed to COVID, or if you or your children have signs that you may have contracted COVID, keep all your children home, get tested and notify our schools as soon as possible of the reason for your students absence so we can continue to safeguard our schools.
I will continue to take every step to keep your students safe. It is our top priority but I cannot do it without your help. So please, if you have any reason to believe your child may have been exposed to COVID or is showing signs that they could have been infected, let someone know and take the appropriate steps. Let’s keep our communities safe. If you have any questions please direct them to me or Teresa Sullivan at (775)-553-2595 thank you.
