Hello Hornet Nation,
Starting the week of September 2nd, 2025 any Beatty Middle School student who is academically ineligible (failing) in one or more of their Core classes (Math, ELA, or Science) is expected to attend the BMS After School Academic Success Program.
The purpose of this program is to help students who may need extra time and support. We want all of our students to be supported and successful and sometimes that requires extra time outside of the classroom.
BMS athletes who are academically ineligible are required to attend both tutoring sessions until 4:30 pm. They will then report to their coaches and attend the remainder of practice.
Reminders:
● ANY student who is academically ineligible may not participate or attend any extra-curricular activities (excluding practices).
● Parents/guardians can access their child’s grades through the Parent Portal in Infinite Campus
If you want your child to attend, you do not need to do anything.
If you do NOT want your child to attend, even if they are failing, please do the following ((on the form sent home with your student)):
● Mark the space below
● Sign
● Return to the office
Please know, this may lead to further struggle and stress for your child.
Thank you for your understanding and support!
